World Environment Day

When & Where?

Why?

To celebrate the World Environment Day, the Bangalore WAYE Team on 5th June 2010 worked towards Tree Plantation, where just a few volunteers planted one thousand trees across the city on a single day.

WAYE joined hands with BBMP in 'Greening the City' by extensive planting of Lakshmi Taru Saplings in Select BBMP Parks across Bangalore. The excitement began with Zone wise co-ordinators, parks, park leaders and volunteers being identified and volunteers started innovative ways of raising funds through Raddhi Collection, Spreading awareness of the importance of trees and encouraging Tree Adoptions amongst the public and more.
