Piano Peace Concert

Music as we know it has the power to soothe, enliven and transform all at once. WAYE thought of it as a beautiful way to spread harmony. The Western classical music has unfortunately died an early death of sorts with independence. The West has consistently taken from India the best that it has to offer: Yoga, Meditation, Indian Classical music and Ayurveda. And we Indians have taken Coke, Pepsi, burger and pizza from the west! It was high time that Indians started to seize and experience the best that the west has to offer. With this objective WAYE volunteers organized Piano Peace Concert across different cities in India in the month of Dec 2007. WAYE through these events raised funds for its peace initiatives projects.

The audience enjoyed some of the most relaxing and melodious music from the Masters of the Western Classics! The dynamic trio, Mireille Heijltjes, Lisanne Soeterbroek and Stephanie Steiner performed in Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata to enthrall one and all with their brilliant talent and splendid melodies.
